Mirror of the Sky

My attention was caught by a pair of cypresses growing close to each other. They were such a well pair that their tree forms and heights were so similar that I had a whim I could find something symmetric underneath the crowns. There was a bench between them, where I laid down on to take this picture. With several body adjustments to overcome the grade difference and a slight zoom of my lens to exclude the non-symmetric parts of the trunks, I froze this moment, the mirror of the sky. Bisecting the picture vertically, you would see two cypresses on left and right mirroring each other whilst bisecting horizontally, the branches of the two cypresses reproduce two rows of trees along both sides of a river, mirroring themselves onto the river that runs through the sky. I was so lucky I went there during deciduous. I went back there when new leaves grew, laying down again to take a picture, and the outcome was entirely different.
