14th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
Lower Falls of the Genesee River, NY

The Genesee River flows through Letchworth State Park in New York State. There are three notable waterfalls within the park, this one being the lowest of the three. Seasonal fluctuations in water flow and foliage variation provide great opportunities for the nature photographer.
