Lonestar Geyser Erupting in the snow
When you look at this picture, you instantly think winter due to the site of snow. This picture was actually taken in summer. The day started out warm but then a storm blew in. It began to rain than snow. Many visitors in Yellowstone were unprepared for the change in weather. My wife and I took this opportunity to hike toward Lonestar Geyser, knowing tourist traffic decreased after the storm. To our amazement, we arrived at the geyser right as it began erupting. This site created a special moment for us as we admire this wonderful surprise in the beauty of nature.
