This is a close up of one of the few remaining feral horses in the desert in Southern Namibia. They were likely abandoned 100 years ago by soldiers and farmers as Germany lost its African colony after WWI. Somehow they managed to survive, but their life is difficult and they remain threatened by drought, etc.
