Incoming tide at Humboldt Bay bar

This is the tide coming in at the bar of Humboldt Bay. It is one of the most dangerous bay to ocean crossings in the west. To protect the beach from the breakwaters, large boulders have been placed to construct a jetty. A sign warns visitors of being washed away.
