"I'm going to be Dessert."

I found a Mother Lioness guarding her newborn baby on the plain of the Serengeti. I returned to this spot several days in a row to see what behavior we might observe. On the final night we found the mother eating a fresh kill while nervously looking up and around for any threats against her newborn cub. When she saw us approaching in the safari vehicle she left her kill and emerged from the shadows and began walking straight at me! That look! I thought, "I'm going to be dessert."
