Horseface tree

The image is a crop of a native tree of the Atlantic Forest from Búzios, Rio de Janeiro. The species, Sideroxylon obtusifolium (Roem. & Schult.) T.D. Penn., from the Sapotaceae Family, is known to have been vastly used by the primitive extinct people, the sambaquieiros, and recently used by fisherman to make canoons, art and other crafts.
