Hon Yen corals
Low tide day at the coastline of Hon Yen is the time that you could witness the exposure of one of the most unique animals on earth-the shallow water corals,a kind of sessile animal that takes root on the ocean floor. The coral ecosystem is home for hundred of species, protect coastline from storms and erosion, provide jobs & source of food for local communities. Unfortunately, this coral ecosystem is severely threatened. The more they expose out of the water, the more they can be impacted & damaged.
