Great American Eclipse (Canon EOS 7D Mark II with Canon EF lens 100-400 mm)

This is the eclipse of August 21, 2017 with what I was told was the planet Mercury in the left low corner. This event was a experience everyone should strive to see. I am 64 years old, I scouted locatons for two months. l scouted the southwest area of the state and central, and a friend of mine scouted totality areas in the east part of the state. We decided that this little pond in eastern Idaho was our best bet. Turned out to be a great location. When totality started I was in aww what I saw through the lens as well as with my eyes. Loved seeing the star and flare.
