Glow of the North

The Aurora Borealis seen from United Airlines Flight 87 en-route Shanghai to Newark. The Northern Lights shoed up over Northeastern Siberia. Also note the Andromeda Galaxy(M31, that fuzzy dot 1/4th way down the top center of the photo). Photographed from a Boeing 777, one of the newer jetliners offering great fuel economy. The polar routing also demonstrates the airline's ability to plan routes to maximize efficiency.
