Female Elephant Seal Eyes Met! Tierra del Fuego, Chile

While traveling the Chilean Fjords by ship we landed by Zodiac at the private Karukinka Reserve. After a short hike we observed a number of elephant seals. This female had managed to escape from an amorous aggressive male. She turned to face us and was able to capture this image. Please note the small bite marks on her body given to her by the male.
