Feeding Time

This was taken at a Bass Pro store pier in Islamorada, Florida. The employees of this store feed and care for this guy, a Great Blue Heron, after being saved from certain death. He was found with his whole neck gashed wide open after being tangled in metal crab pot lines. The local bird sanctuary picked him up and gave him care and he made a full recovery, thankfully, after a pretty grim prognosis. He was returned to the wild but remained on site where he was originally found, which was at this pier. He is now thriving thanks to the care he received from the Bass Pro employees and the rehabbers.
