14th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
Iceland is one of the breeding ground for the Arctic Terns. In July/August the chicks were hatched and the chaotic feeding scenes could be found in many parts of Iceland in a flock of about few hundreds to several thousands. Watching them feeding was quite fun, however trying to figure out whether the adults fed the right chicks was rather difficult.
