Fading to pink over Lake Michigan

This photo shows the remarkable stilllness that can sometimes overtake the upper shores of Lake Michigan, where over 600 acres and two miles of shoreline have been protected through international designation as a dark sky park, which sustains habitat, allows for educating the public, and restores the natural beauty to the area that is true of any place where night sky protection is practiced.
