Galapagos penguin (endemic)

I observed and photographed the Galapagos penguin both on land and underwater, and the contrast was so striking. On land they scoot awkwardly around but in the water they fly! This shot was just north of the equator on the west coast of Isabela Island. They are the only penguins to be found north of the equator.
