Sharking Grounds off the New Jersey Shore The Mud Hole is a popular shark fishing spot during the summer months off the NJ shore. This whale carcass was 50 feet long and covered with birds feeding on it.It has been around for a few weeks tanning in the sun. Anglers had a chance to drift by it from a distance and watch 15 foot Great White sharks feed off it. We took pictures of huge bites of flesh in some areas 4 feet wide right to the bone. It was an amazing site but the rotting smell was blinding.
