Doe crossing the Blackstone River, Lincoln, Rhode Island

I was hiking early one morning in August along the old towpath on the Blackstone River when I noticed a doe peering out from the bushes. She watched me as I stood watching her. After about a minute or so, she calmly walked to the edge of the river and began to wade into the water. She seemed to be posing for me as she looked over to see if I was still watching. This gave me the good fortune to frame and capture this image.
