Diving for Survival

I was driving when I noticed this coyote injured and limping. I stopped the car and started shooting with my long lens from inside. He stopped, moved his head on the side to hear better and then he dived in the snow to catch probably a mouse or a prairie dog. He tried several times but never succeeded. He then sat in the snow for a long time.
