The Washington Monument
This is the stature of John Rankin Rogers, twice governor of the State of Washington. This image is not digitally altered.  Each December someone manages to crown the Governor with festive headgear.
I was in the mountains walking in the garden of the house looking at the folliage and flowers when I discover these flashy sunny red flower.
I found this leaf suspended on a spider web.

I was at the beach having a good time in a hamac when I heard and saw a light blue heron standing in the wall fence of my neighbor.
