16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest
Cape Schanck Citadel

Photo of Pitbull rock Cape Schanck low tide and sunset. The volcanic geological rock formation is isolated from the cliffs around the trechous coast line just below Cape Schanck lighthouse. The photograph position is only accessible at low tide which exposes the mote like channel between the rock and the mainland. Unfortunately with high winds I have been caught out a few times here and have been caught out wet and hanging to side of cliff with camera gear.
