I was enjoying the flowers when a Monarch Butterfly enjoyed the flowers too.

How do bird keep their nest clean once the chicks start making waste? The chicks produce a mucous membrane ("fecal pouch") containing the waste so the parents can remove it. Here, the mother is pulling out such a pouch for disposal.
