16th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
Big Bend

Taken at Big Bend with CIR 120 Infrared Film. From the first part of my medium format infrared film project around the world. The lighter hue of the bushes tells us that they don't have as much chlorophyll in their leaves/bristles. The desert was especially dry during this time of the year, showing the brutal conditions even plant life must face before life flourishes again in the summer.
