15th Annual Photo Contest
Amazon River, Ucayali

A legend tells the love felt by the Sun Guarací and the Moon Jací, which could be seen only a few minutes per day, and that saddened them. While Jací hid behind the trees, she wept disconsolately and her tears flooded the forests and reached the sea, so the Amazon River was born. The largest and longest in the world, with a fifth of the fluvial flow of the planet.
