13th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
A section of mountains known as the Garden Wall in Glacier National Park.
The photograph was taken from Going To The Sun Road, just west of Logan Pass. The magnitude of the mountains in this National Park is phenomenal. I attempted to capture that magnitude with this picture, however, I believe, viewing these mountains in person is the only way to really appreciate the grandeur.
A Sony a77 SLT with an 18- 250 telephoto lens was used.
