A rocky view at Rocky Neck State Park in Connecticut
This photograph was taken during sunset at Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme Connecticut on 4/6/18. This is my home park and is right in my backyard. When I decided to dive into photography as a hobby I took a workshop with John K Putnam in Acadia National Park. One of the best pieces of advice he gave during this workshop was that exploring your home park and making it your own is a great way to grow as a photographer. That is what I’m doing with Rocky Neck; learning what the light does at different times of the day and exploring its rocky coast and inland to find interesting compositions. This is my most current and favorite image of Rocky Neck.
