Winter at Home in Brooklyn

I was living in Bushwick, Brooklyn in what was only my second winter ever when it started to snow furiously. This is what I saw just below my balcony, where our neighbors downstairs had a large verandah and seating. It had transformed into something out of a movie set: the fresh snow looked artificial, the arrangement of the chairs contrived. What was chaos seemed to become organized in the snow.
