The raw beauty of Karakul lake in China's remote Northwest.

It was a changing weather day when we landed on the shores of Karakul lake. The sun came out, hod behind the clouds, it rained and hailed all in the space of four hours. I managed to capture this image of one of us on horseback just before the weather drove us inside a yurt to seek shelter.
