Spider that lives on our bathroom window

This spider has been living on our bathroom window for quite some time. My husband, despite my arachnophobia, refuses to get rid of him (or her) and enjoys watching him grow to what is now a scary size. He catches the moths that are attracted to the bathroom light, which my husband leaves on in the evening to encourage a meal for the spider. We call him Fred.
