Plow truck spring
I found this plow truck spring in the woods behind our house. Once useful, it is now rusting on the ground. Human beings create items and then discard them. Nature is taking them back. Even items made of steel. We made them to last but nature claims them back. Our lack of power as humanity over nature becomes evident. I grew up in an industrial area in Germany. As a child, I often walked by a steel factory. The machines, vehicles, and buildings dominated the landscape. I tried to find the beauty in the cold, rusty, and mechanical looking world around me. I found, if I looked closer I could see designs created by peeling paint and rust that mimicked those found in nature or in paintings.
