Manzanita shrubs blackened by wildfire

This west facing photo shows the late afternoon sun descending over the San Bernardino mountains. In the foreground are the charred remains of Manzanita shrubs burned in a 2007 wildfire. New growth is seen behind and interspersed with the Manzanita trees.
