Lonly Waiting

I took this picture as I waited on the street corner for a friend. The lights that reflected off of the creek seemed to shine for no one on the deserted street/construction zone. But they shone anyway. It reminded me of how sometimes in life I feel like I am not making a difference at all, that I am not helping anyone, that what I do is pointless. But the lights shone on the path my friend would later walk to meet me. Even if they just helped one person that night, I was glad they were there.
