Hissy and her kitten

When we moved here, we inherited Hissy, a 'feral' cat who lived here. She had kittens (before we realized she was pregnant and could neuter her) . She is a wonderful mother, and spends much of her time with them, guiding them and teaching them. They enjoy our property-we've built them their own house here and they know they are safe. Here Hissy naps with daughter Missy on the porch rail.
