Glimmering Lake, Yukon Route
The Yukon railway connects Skagway, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon. It was a massive project when conceived, a herculean task of construction in frigid, inhabitable terrain. It is now a tourist attraction, but that does not make it any less beautiful. The train stopped to reverse its direction in a beautiful clearing at the border of USA and Canada, and that's when I popped out to capture this photo.
