Crevasses at Vatnajokull Glacier, Iceland

Southern Iceland's Vatnajokull Glacier is Europe's largest. Hiking with crampons, ice axes and safety harnesses in this glowing landscape brought home the enormity of what we are losing to climate change in one of Earth's most endangered landscapes.
