Caterpillar

My children are working on getting their butterfly garden certified as an official Monarch butterfly way station. Because they are journaling the experience, we check on the garden several times a day. On this particular day, my daughters and I sat next to the garden for two hours watching the caterpillars eat every leaf on the milkweed. This one was exceptionally hungry.
