California Poppies Super-Bloom

After years of extreme drought, California experienced an exceptionally wet 2016-17 winter. This rejuvenated the landscape, causing a massive "superbloom" of wildflowers even out in desert areas. The rolling hills around Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet, CA were covered with California poppies and other wildflowers.
