Arriving In Bear Country

My addiction for Alaska and her wildlife has me make a pilgrimage to her shores every year. We took off early from Beluga Lake in Homer, Alaska, flew across the Cook Inlet towards Katmai and turned south along the coastline to Hallo Bay. We hiked for miles into the Katmai wilderness. We crossed many creeks and rivers we knew we were getting close as the huge paw prints in the mud were everywhere. With my cell phone at hand I took this image, and 5 minutes later we found 3 very large bears.
