White Sands Missile Range V-2 Missile

Photo shows restored German World War 2 V-2 missile at White Sands Missile Range, NM in American test paint markings used at White Sands V-2 Launching Site. After World War 2 V-2 missiles captured from Germany were tested at the White Sands Missile Range from 1945 to 1950s. The data obtained from these tests advanced American missile and rocket technology including military and civilian spaceflight. This V-2 is in yellow and black markings used for White Sands Missile Range testing.
