Water gauges at the Hanford B Reactor

Water gauges monitor the water temperature of 2004 individual reactor piles in the reactor core of Reactor B at Hanford to prevent any nuclear melt downs. Hanford was the first full scale nuclear reactor and produced plutonium for the US nuclear program for WWII providing the plutonium for the first successful nuclear bomb test and the fat man bomb that destroyed the city of Nagasaki in Japan.
