Today, Who Listens...

When I walk about a city, especially old ones, I love looking into the old churches. Most of the time, they are closed, or populated during mass or services. Today, the doors were open and to my amazement, the pews and sanctuary were almost completely empty. As I walked about, I found my self looking out over the pews from the pulpit. I wondered about our world and all the hate and self promotion that we live within. I thought about "how far, as human, have moved towards emptiness..." Now, this beautiful church, a place of worship, a place of love, sits empty, except for a few tourists. How far have come as Americans?
