13th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
The Soldiers of Normandy

As a former U.S. Navy sailor, and the wife of a U.S. airman, it was important for us to visit Normandy during our time in England. The men buried in this cemetery fought for the American people, and the way of life we enjoy today.
