The "Rusting Iron" Mystery

The rusted out tractor in this photo is a 1927-28 International Harvester. Ownership of the farm in N/E Ill where this pond and tractor are located can only be traced back 50 years ..the tractor was already a rusting piece of iron back then. Survivors of those owners do not know the circumstances of the tractor's apparently eternal predicament.
