The Ossuary of Douaumont, Verdun

The Douaumont Ossuary is a memorial containing the remains of nearly a quarter-million soldiers who died on the battlefield during the 300 days of the Battle of Verdun in World War I. My Great Uncle is one of those who died in this battle.
