The Hand of Frederick Douglass

A hand on your shoulder...Give a hand...Clap hands...Think of all a hand conveys so much and this one is mighty. Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) was the most photographed person in 19th century. (Statue by Gabriel Koren at 110th Street and 8th Avenue.)
