Sun rays shining on lady liberty
This was taken on my first visit to the statue of liberty. I was there with my two youngest children. I was taking several pictures. It was not until later that I saw the sun rays in the photo. The sun was so bright that day I did not notice the beautiful rays lighting her in the photo until we sat down at dinner to review the photos. This is one of my favorite photos of the trip. It captures for me what she represents. A beacon of light, of hope for those that came to the new world for a better life.
