St Rose Mission Site

This is the site of the St Rose Mission that was established in 1863. This church served the Metis (mix blood) families that called this area home. A cemetery was established in 1876 but unfortunately the markers were wooden and lost to a grass fire. This memorial pays respects to the church and the unmarked graves below the hill.
