Soldier at St Mihiel American Cemetery

This is a photo of one of the tens of thousands graves of American dead from World War I. My great uncle died on the western front during that war. Finding his grave was at once simple because of the War Memorials Office records, yet overwhelming because of the tens of thousands of graves.
