Revolution-Era Iron Furnace

Hopewell Furnace was an active iron furnace supplying ordinance to the revolutionary war army and navy and later to the civil war union army. Out of business since 1883, it is now a cultural unit of the National Park Service. This image is of the chimney top of the furnace.
