16th Annual Photo Contest
Pushing in the Herd

This photograph was taken at Cormack Ranch in Strawn, Texas, a family owned and operated ranch of 30 years. The cattle are being pushed into a pen to vaccinate, brand and castrate the calves. It is a tradition in the family to work calves at Thanksgiving and is not only part of the needed work, but a social gathering of family and friends as well.
