Pillars of Strength

Tourists and locals visit the Lincoln Memorial on a warm evening. The Lincoln Memorial draws thousands of visitors each day, and the summer months draw even more. This photo was made late one evening as I walked past the memorial. The way the memorial is light is striking, and the people buzzing around President Lincoln's feet provide a nice silhouette.
